Enhancements / Additions:

• Composite surface enhancements:
  • Increased the robustness of the Composite surface topology check
  • Increased the robustness of the Composite surface mesh generation
  • Added option for a user-specified glue tolerance
  • discrete geometry surfaces may be used in Composite surface definition
  • Added a Composite Pick Limit to select the Composite surface
• Discrete geometry enhancements:
  • Curves extracted from discrete geometry may now be used as input to most CAD surface and topology operations.  Note that they may not currently be split.
  • Surfaces extracted from discrete geometry may be used with CAD curves and surfaces to generate surface meshes.
• Initial spacing contours enhancements:
  • Smoothing is revised.  Spacings distributions read in via a surface grid are maintained and are not re-smoothed unless an the spacing on an adjacent surface is modified.
  • Updates the spacing distribution if boundary conditions change.
  • Reports spacing information to the Message Area and updates the gui.
  • When the initial spacing is set on a surface, the initial spacing for the Group is updated.
  • When a surface is added to a Group, the surface inherits the initial spacing value of the Group.
• 64-bit Linux-x86 version available.
• Corrected IGES curves and surfaces bounds check increasing robustness.
• Added hot keys to:
  • add a surface to a Composite surface definition (Ctrl-u)

• Corrected problem when reading an IGES file containing a composite surface definition that has a trimmed surface as part of the composite surface, causing the composite surface to be re-built incorrectly.
• Corrected bug that was introduced into the Surface Weather Map in version 4.61.  The min and max angle information and the corresponding elements that are highlighted as failing the check were are all incorrect.
• Corrected bug with the grid visualization tools Surface Weather Map and Surface Solid Angle which would cause SolidMesh to crash if the group id was larger than 100.
• Corrected bugs with the initial spacing contours causing SolidMesh to crash.
• Corrected bug introduced in version 4.50 when exporting a volume grid to FLUENT format.
• Corrected bug in the 2D version where the boundary-layer growth was not updated when the viscous edge grid was computed, resulting in poor quality grids.  In viscous grids with boundary-layer quads, the resulting B-L grid was stretched and triangles were inserted.

Known Problems and Limitations:

• Trimming IGES-tagged periodic surfaces.
• Discrete geometry cannot be saved.  This will be corrected in the next release of SolidMesh.
• Limitations with the discrete geometry feature detection algorithms.
