What's New in SolidMesh v3.5

Enhancements/ Additions:

  • Acceptance of mathematical expressions within field entries (with implicit results)
  • Graphical explaination of boundary layer growth included in the documentation.
  • Explicit display of numerical results of mathematical expressions available within  fields adjacent to the equal operator.
  • More hot-keys.
  • Trimming function (Shift-T) now attempts to act upon all visible surfaces when none are specifically selected; otherwise acts upon only selected surfaces.
  • approxApproximate picked curve function added to Curves Application palette.
  • loftedsurfLofted (Splined) surface function added to Surfaces Application palette.
  • Generation of surfaces of revolution in discrete "pieces."
  • Generation of circular arcs in discrete "pieces."

Bugs Fixed:

  • No longer allowed to pick curves when trimming (all parametric curves associated with each respective surface are referenced in the execution of the trim).
  • No longer allowed to set curve display resolution to a value less than 3.
  • Tutorials revised to progress more fluidly from step to step.
  • Surface Discretization Problems, when Spacing < Min_Point_Spacing, resolved.
  • Translate/ Scale/ Mirror/ Rotate utility functions (when Duplicate box is NOT selected) now work properly with trimmed surfaces, deleting trimmed surface, underlying surface, and parametric children.
  • Improved robustness of trimming functions.
  • The problems with the (Volume Generation Boundary Conditions) Rebuild and Transparent options working together have been remedied.
