I have more than 36 years of work experience. After graduating college in 1983 I went to work for Wyle Laboratories in Huntsville, Alabama. I worked as an Senior Electronics Technician on a contract at Marshall Space Flight Center on the space shuttle Solid Rocket booster and was part of the Solid Rocket booster redesign team after the Challenger tragedy. I also worked at the Wyle main facility and was involved in Electrical, EMI, Environmental and Seismic testing. After moving to Starkville, Mississippi, I was a stay at home parent until my youngest son started school. I also taught Electrical and Electronics classes at East Mississippi Community College before I started working at Mississippi State University. I have been working at Mississippi State since January 21, 2001. I am a Research Associate II at the Center for Vehicular Systems where I am over the Engineering Mechanics Laboratory and in charge of all of the material testing, and analytical machines. I do all of the training,troubleshooting, maintenance and ordering for these machines.
