Researchers with CCS and CAVS Named AAAS Fellows

Drs. Mark A. Novotny (CCS) and Mark F. Horstemeyer (CAVS) were recently honored as Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Novotny of the Department of Physics and Astronomy and Horstemeyer of mechanical and computational engineering received the high honor awarded by their peers in recognition of scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.

The AAAS, based in Washington, DC, is the world's largest general scientific society. The organization publishes the prestigious journal Science, as well as Science Translational Medicine and Science Signaling. Founded in 1848, the AAAS includes 261 affiliated societies and academies of science, serving 10 million individuals around the world.
