Bagley College of Engineering at MSU has been at the forefront of education and research for more than 100 years. Bagley is one of the 40 named engineering colleges in the nation and has been very beneficial to the MSU EcoCAR2 team though monetary support.
Barnett’s Body Shop is a full-service body shop with four locations in the Jackson, MS area. They have donated a beautiful, full-custom paint job for the team’s Chevrolet Malibu
Aurora Flight Sciences specializes in the design and manufacturing of composite unmanned aerial vehicles. They are providing the team with expertise on carbon fiber mold design as well as guidance throughout the carbon fiber layup process. Aurora is allowing us to use their facilities to lay up the battery case as well as donating the carbon fiber and kevlar materials that will be used to create the case.
Champlain Cable was founded in 1955 and focused on Military and Aerospace markets. Since, they have grown to include the automotive industry and has been very helpful to MSU EcoCAR2 Team. They provided the team with high voltage electrical wiring that runs throughout the vehicle.
Luvata Heatcraft has played a major role in developing and manufacturing custom heat transfer products for commercial & residential HVAC, commercial refrigeration, industrial cooling, mobile air conditioning. They have been a long-time sponsor; providing the team with custom heat exchangers, intercoolers, and battery cooling plates.
William Wells Tire and Auto is a local automotive repair shop in Starkville, MS. They are a long-time supporter of MSU EcoCAR and have donated tires, wheels, wheel alignments, air conditioner system charging, and other services. They have also donated services to be auctioned in raffle-style fundraisers.
Cooper Bussman has a 90 year long history and is headquartered in St. Louis, MI. They are an industry leader in circuit protection and have been very beneficial to the MSU team. They have provided high voltage and low voltage electrical component fuses, fuse boxes, and terminal blocks.
Raspet Flight Research Laboratory is a part of the Bagley College of Engineering and supports MSU’s goals of teaching, research, and service. They are helping the team by allowing the use of their CNC machine, which is unique in that it is very large and accurate. Raspet is also giving the team advice on mold materials and manufacturing techniques.

Engineered Machined Products has made contributions in the past which helped significantly with the robustness of our cooling system. This was done by donating CAN controlled coolant pumps. These pumps circulate liquid to and from our sensitive components keeping them at a temperature critical to their performance and efficiency. Not only did they help the team in the past, but they are continuing their generous contributions for EcoCAR2.
The Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) has been hosting the Mississippi State Team for over eight years. It is the workplace for team members to use the latest hardware and software in designing and implementing their hybrid vehicle.
ITT Cannon is not a newcomer to the Mississippi State team. They have made contributions in the past which allowed the team to safely charge the High Voltage battery pack. Their donation was the charging port for the vehicle. Not only did they help the team in the past, but they are continuing their generous contributions for EcoCAR2.
Turbowerx is a premier automotive research and development organization located in Cedar Park, TX. They donated 2 Exa-Pump “Mini” oil pumps that will be used in the vehicles chain drive system.They are a new sponsor and have provided the team with several high-performance oil scavenging pumps.
Carl Hogan Automotive located in Columbus, MS and provide an extensive line of vehicles throughout Mississippi and Alabama. The company was founded in 1996 and has been involved in a vast amount of activities to support the local community. They are also very active with the MSU EcoCAR 2 team. Carl Hogan has helped our students program vehicle controllers and let them test drive their vehicles to capture data as well as allow them to perform on-road testing.

They are providing the MSU team with linear actuators and controllers for automating key vehicle functions.
