2010 Southern Automotive Conference held in Tunica

2010 Southern Automotive Conference held in Tunica

This year’s annual Southern Automotive Conference was held in Tunica, MS on October 6-8. MSU EcoCAR team leader Matt Doude was in attendance, as well as Phillip Cranford.  This event was presented by the Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association (MAMA) and in conjunction with Alabama and Tennessee’s Automotive Manufacturers Association.  The conference is a networking and educational tool for all suppliers and service companies.  Speakers included executives from Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Nissan, and Hyundai and Dr. Richard King from CAVS at MSU. King was one member of a panel that spoke on the challenges and opportunities related to preparing for the electric car.  We were very glad to have our team members in attendance at such an important meeting!
