CAVS Research Assistant receives Mississippi NASA Space Grant Consortium Fellowship

Jairus Bernard, Graduate Research Assistant for the Computational Manufacturing and Design Group, received Mississippi NASA Space Grant Consortium (NASA MSSGC) Fellowship for the 2009-2010 school year. The NASA MSSGC Fellowship recipients are required to have at least a 3.0 grade point average and must be pursuing an advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) fields. The NASA MSSGC Fellows are required to be a resource person to one or more teachers in one of their graduate institution’s neighboring K-12 schools for ten hours per week. The MSSGC Fellowship award is $17,000, split evenly between both fall and spring semesters.
