Part-time M-F 15-20 hrs/week (and 40 hrs/week in summer).



Seeking a creative, well organized and self-motivated freshman/junior undergraduate to assist (~15 hours/week) in the area of Powder Metallurgy (P/M) research at the Materials Processing Dept. (CAVS), beginning spring semester and for a duration of 2 years.



Duties include: Preparation of P/M samples, mixing of metal alloy powders, compaction of metal alloy powders, sintering using furnaces, and general lab maintenance. The position also involves literature research, paper writing and editing, data acquisition/analysis, and other research assisting tasks. Knowledge about materials sciences and materials processing is a plus.
